Rules & Regulations

What every member agrees to

These rules apply to membership, seat booking, check-in and book borrowing. Accepting them is part of registration.

Membership

1Membership is valid only for the plan duration purchased and lapses automatically on expiry.
2An expired membership cannot book seats, check in, or borrow books until renewed.
3Membership is non-transferable and tied to the registered member's ID.
4The library may block or deactivate a membership for repeated rule violations.

Check-in & conduct

5Check in using your QR code or by name at reception before occupying a seat.
6Silence is expected in the Study Room at all times; low conversation only in Room A.
7Food and beverages are not permitted inside either reading room.

Seat booking

8A seat cannot be double-booked; the system holds one confirmed reservation per slot.
9Unclaimed reservations are released 30 minutes after the slot start time.
10Cancel a booking any time before the slot begins from "My Reservations".

Book borrowing

11Borrowing limits follow your membership plan; monthly and above plans include borrowing.
12Overdue books accrue a fine of ₹10 per day past the due date.
13Lost or damaged books are charged at the current replacement cost of the title.
